Install or Replace a Water Softener

How do you know if it’s time to install or replace a water softener?

Hard water causes mineral buildup on pipes and fixtures and eats them away over time; it can cause some crazy damage. Other signs of hard water to watch for are:

  • white spots left on dishes even after thorough cleaning
  • dry hair and skin
  • freshly laundered clothing and linens that feel stiff, rough, or faded.

Installing a water softener system can eliminate the issues, leaving you with soft clothing, hydrated hair and skin, clear fixtures, and spot-free dishes.

Water Softeners may need to be serviced, repaired, or replaced in cases of:

  • Low water pressure
  • Salty water
  • Old age

If you recognize these plumbing problems we will assess your water softener, service your old unit, and replace your water softener with a new system if necessary.

Water Heater Installation and Service

When you are in the market for a new water heater, we will help you choose the best option for your situation. There are two main factors to consider. First is tank versus tankless, and second is gas versus electric.

Tank water heaters

Tank water heaters are by far the most common. They maintain water temperature longer for big families or households that use a lot of hot water and have a lower upfront cost.

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless water heaters typically cost more initially but deliver energy savings down the road. They fit in smaller spaces and are especially beneficial when you have low hot water usage.
Both styles of water heaters come in gas or electric models.

Gas water heaters

Gas water heaters tend to be more energy-efficient with lower operating costs. They also heat water faster than electric heaters and can continue working during a power outage.

Electric water heaters

Electric water heaters last up to two to three years longer than gas heaters and cost less. They don’t carry risks of gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning and have a simple installation process.

After we’ve chosen and installed your water heater, we encourage you to prolong its life by following manufacturer recommendations to have the unit professionally serviced every year.
A service includes:

  • The removal of sediment buildup by flushing the tank
  • Examining for leaks
  • Inspection of temperature and pressure relief valves
  • Checking the anode rod - a rod meant to attract any corrosion to protect the tank.

We also look for and make any necessary water heater repairs.
